Terms of use

Last updated 14 October 2026

These terms are between you and SiteQuantities ("we", "us") and cover the app and this website. By using the app you agree to them. Nothing in these terms takes away your rights as a consumer under Irish, UK or EU law.

1. Estimates, not design

SiteQuantities gives estimates of material quantities. It is not structural, electrical or drainage design, and it does not replace a qualified engineer, architect, electrician or building control officer. Check critical work with a qualified professional, and check quantities before you order.

Default figures, such as densities, coverage rates and waste allowances, are typical values with their source shown. Real materials vary by supplier and site. You can change every default, and you are responsible for the figures you use.

2. What's free and what's paid

There are no ads in the app. Prices are shown in the app before you pay and may differ by country.

3. Subscriptions and free trials

4. Your content

Jobs, photos, notes and costs you add to the site book belong to you. They are stored on your device, not on our servers. You can delete them at any time, and export a job as a PDF. If you store your customers' details in the site book, you are responsible for that data.

5. The AI assistant

AI answers can be wrong. Treat them as a starting point and check anything that matters, especially quantities, safety and building regulations. Don't enter other people's personal data into it. The assistant has fair-use limits on how many questions you can ask per day and per month.

6. Suppliers and sponsored content

Some results may show links to buy materials from a supplier. Paid placements are always labelled as sponsored. They never change a calculated quantity and never replace prices you have entered yourself.

7. Fair use

Don't copy, resell or reverse-engineer the app or its data, interfere with its servers, or use the AI assistant for anything unlawful. We can suspend Pro features if they are misused.

8. Liability

We work hard to make the calculations correct and check formulas against hand-worked examples. But we are not liable for losses caused by relying on an estimate without checking it, such as over-ordering, under-ordering or rework, except where the law does not allow us to limit liability. Nothing in these terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud.

9. Changes and ending

We may update these terms. If a change matters, we will tell you in the app before it applies. You can stop using the app at any time, and cancel any subscription as described above.

10. Apple and Google

If you got the app from the App Store, Apple's Standard Licence Agreement also applies. These terms are between you and us, not Apple or Google. Apple and Google are not responsible for the app or its support. Apple and its subsidiaries can enforce these terms against you as third-party beneficiaries.

11. Law

These terms are governed by Irish law. If you live in another country, you also keep the protection of its consumer laws and can bring a claim in your local courts.
